Art Space
THE CHALLENGE:
A Pro Bono effort to design and construct this non-profits office space for under $18.00sf.
THE RESOLUTION:
ArtWorks provides summer employment for aspiring young teens in the arts. Their office was designed as a gallery like space where the workstations were conceived as a piece of modern sculpture. Existing floors were lightly cleaned and touched up rather than repaired adding to the loft like feel. A custom Conference Room table was created with scaffolding used by the teenagers for painting public murals on the sides of local buildings. By using as much of the existing space and found materials we were able to spend the money on this project where it counts: hiring aspiring young artists.
