Helping Small Children Dream Big
THE CHALLENGE:
As a leader for interactive retail experiences, Walt Disney World enlisted our expertise to create three new extraordinary retail concepts in one large Orlando store: Worlds of Disney. Two different themes were developed for girls and one for boys.
THE RESOLUTION:
For boys, we created The Ultimate Adventure store, celebrating everything "boy" and featuring a host of characters including Buzz Lightyear, Stitch and Pirates of the Caribbean. Interactive hero fixtures engage each guest in a world of buried treasure and loot. For an out-of-this-world adventure, boys can shoot across the galaxy with interactive video pods that travel "to infinity and beyond." Creating a dream world for girls, we designed The Walt Disney Princess Experience, a store where young girls are transported to the Disney Princess fantasy world. Each architectural and graphic detail was carefully crafted to showcase Disney Princesses in a regal castle, allowing imaginations to soar. From there, girls journey to The Bibbity Bobbidy Boutique, a magical salon where each girl can be transformed into her favorite princess from head-to-toe. Appointments for the Boutique are booked six months in advance due to its popularity. All three of these spectacular, interactive retail concepts have been a tremendous success, with their designs being implemented in other parks around the world.
